Welcome to the Curling Club of Rochester
Founded in 2017, the Curling Club of Rochester (CCR) has been providing curling to local communities around Olmsted County, Minnesota. We currently curl on arena ice at the Rochester Recreation Center and are in the process of planning a dedicated curling facility. We have Fall, Winter and Spring leagues as well as many opportunities for members to curl in a variety of different events. Additionally we usually host two bonspiels each year.
If you are new to curling we host many events where you can Learn to Curl or try Curling & Cocktails. Check out our calendar, to see what we have coming up later in the season!
Learn to Curl
About...
Learn-to-Curl is a great way to try out a brand new sport! You will have two hours of on and off ice instruction. You’ll learn how to throw a stone, how to sweep, some basic strategy and even have a chance to play a short game! All equipment is provided. Please bring clean, low heel, closed toed shoes or boots to change into.
Who...
Curlers are typically 15-80+ years, men or women. Most try as individuals, but you can bring along your friends, family, or coworkers to join you! Modification can be made for individuals with back or knee limitations, as well as, curling is great for individuals in wheelchairs.
Cancellation...
We reserve the right to cancel any Learn-to-Curl and refunds will be issued. If the participants cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, refunds will not be given.
Please be sure to complete a waiver for each participant before attending.
